Although the hotel was clean, the help friendly, and the breakfast good, I can not give this hotel more than 2 stars as the noise (if your room faced the street) was excessive. The hotel is in a neighborhood with a movie theater practically adjacent and clubs around the corner. On Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights, the post-club crowd was uproarious well into the early morning hours, accompanied by cars honking their horns at one another. That, coupled with the normal street sounds made it impossible to sleep through the night. If you have another choice, take it...this one is only good for those who like to club or if you are able to get a room which is not on the street.

The Grand Albus hotel was an excellent choice for first time traveler to Amsterdam. The hotel is charming and cozyl. The breakfast was great & the coffee was great too. The hotel staff were friendy. the hotel room we had was very large and we had a wonderful veiw. We would stay at this hotel again. The hotel was in a great location, we walked everywhere. The flowermarket is across the street. The hotel location made our stay east to get around. Great hotel.
