air conditioner does not work for a whole section of the hotel and the staff instead of admitting it at first as if they don't know.
It turns out it has been like that for a while and they cannot fix it anytime soon
staff is not helpful in other issues either.

Nice hotel, with very helpful desk personnel. Decent breakfast. About 15 to 20 minute walk to the historic section of Florence, but very well lit at night to get back. Some guests complained about outside noise, but we did not have that problem in room #2. Although it is right next to the breakfast room, if you are not a late sleeper, it is a decent, quiet room and does not face the street. We would definitely stay here again.

I traveled with 2 other women and we all found the the hotel to be clean, very well supplied, good breakfast, beautifully decorated. We especially appreciated the helpful staff: they called cabs for us several times and spoke to cab drivers (we spoke no Italian), helped us use phones to call US with phone card, and the very special Andre made us coffee at 5 AM the morning we left! We all hope to stay there again.

Great hotel. Good location. There were three of us travelling and we had a nice sized room with a balcony. The staff were amazingly helpful! Nice breakfast provided. Would definitely stay here again. Good value!
