Description The Tower of London has served in many roles since William the Conqueror began its construction: as a storehouse, an armory, a royal palace, an infamous prison, even as a zoo, but most of all it has stood for centuries as a symbol of the power of the rulers of London and England. One can wander for hours here, fascinated by the many tales held within one of London's most famous landmarks.
