Description Exhibition and theater tour. The Globe Theatre, founded by Sam Wanamaker, is a faithful reconstruction of the Elizabethan playhouse. Now, a second part of Sam's great dream has been realized. Beneath the theatre is the vast UnderGlobe where every aspect of Shakespeare's work is brought imaginatively to life using a combination of modern technology and traditional crafts. Explore Bankside, the Soho of Elizabethan London, follow Sam's struggle to recreate an authentic Globe for the twentieth century and beyond, and take a fascinating tour of today's working theatre.
