My husband and I were very skeptical of our trip to Ireland when we booked it a month and a half before we left. But our trip turned out amazing!! We thank go-today.com and we are recommending the site to many of out friends!! We gave it four 1/2 stars because we thought we would have a Mini Cooper for our trip but that was not guaranteed so that is why we are only docking 1/2 a star!! Amazing trip!!

Ireland and the people are wonderful. Unfortunately, you must reserve by phone in advance with the B&Bs who are listed in the book from GO-Today. We thought all B&Bs took the vouchers, but most do not, nor have they ever heard of the vouchers. So, our spontaneous trip turned out not to be spontaneous. We had to ask a kind B&B owner to use their phone so we could call and locate a B&B that took the vouchers. Also, road signs and street signs are rare, and house numbers are almost non-existent. The Irish navigate by landmarks and also by stopping and asking someone for directions. Every person we stopped to ask for help was so friendly. Next time, I wouldn't use vouchers.

Ireland is beautiful.....but there are somethings that people should know! Besides Delta Airlines canceling my originally booked flights and REALLY making a MESS of things........Hertz rent-a-car puts a $2,500 hold on your credit card account if you do not take their insurance! Ordinarily that would be fine, but I gave them my credit card from my checking account...........NOT being informed they were putting a hold on my account.......and my mortgage and all other bills scheduled to come out of my account while I was on vacation....BOUNCED! My car was paid for IN ADVANCE, and I knew there would be local tax, but NOT $2,500! I ended up on my 2nd day in Ireland with NO ACCESS TO CASH!!!!! Thank heavens I had taken an "emergency" credit card with me! When I arrived at my next destination (Scotland) I made SURE that Hertz was not going to put that kind of hold on my account and was told that (at least in Scotland) it was not Hertz' policy....that I had the right to decline the insurance...that there would be NO hold put on my account, as I had already prepaid for the car. Thank heavens for that. I did a fly drive in Scotland and the only COMPLAINTS I have is the fact that you pay $26.00 American Dollars EVERY NIGHT for staying at a B&B.....just because you are SINGLE!! Really unfair! Another thing is......MOST PLACES LISTED IN THE BOOK DON'T TAKE SINGLES!!! I ended up having to pay for 2 nights lodging, as two places took 2 vouchers JUST BECAUSE I WAS SINGLE!! What I thought was going to be 16 wonderful days on vacation, ended up to be a NIGHTMARE, and my spending as much $900 MORE than I had EVER anticipated, plus having to come home and explain to my creditors WHY their payments were returned to them with NSF! I think these are things that we SHOULD be made aware of PRIOR to BOOKING and PAYING for a fly-drive vacation! Travelers.........BEWARE!!!
