Ok, here we go. I promised the tour guides that I would tell the world how much I enjoyed this tour so here it is. This was my first dealings with go-today and it was truly a great vacation and a great value. This was an escorted tour, with a bus transport between Rome, Florence (via the town of Assi), and ending in Venice. Get off the plane in Rome, walk 5 yards and to the shuttle kiosk and we were driven right to our Hotel, could not have been easier. At the wine reception the first night we met the lovely and kind tour guide Laura. She is the best! She was available for any questions and was full of knowledge which she shared, especially on the bus rides. Day 2,escorted tour of the Vatican. Go-Today had a Vatican specialist name Wally Zanchetta. Now, I had paid hundreds of dollars for a tour of the Vatican 2 years ago when I was in Rome on a cruise ship. This tour was twice as good, and 4 hours of fasination. Wally was Great!!!!t hank you (I took my Mom on this trip and she was overwhelmed with all of Italy but especially the Vatican). Laura gave us a walking Tour at night of Florence, which was not scheduled, because she was nice. Booked in advance tickets to the Accadamia, it is a must see. Last time I was there I went to the Uffici Galery. That was too much art for me, kind of boring. The Acadammia was more my style. Venice was awesome. We had a scheduled walking tour of Venice. The Tour guide was named Gabriella Panozzo. Now , I did not think I would find a walking Tour of Venice a big deal. I had been there 2 years ago. Well I was wrong. Gabriella was a proud, dynamic example of the Venitian people. She made the City come alive. I truly learned and enjoyed this walking tour. All the properties were above my expectations Delle Nazioni(Florence) , Champagne Palace (Rome) and Arlerchio Hotel(in Venice) We were schedule to stay at the sister propery next door(Olimpia Hotel) but most got moved to this hotel and I think its nicer.Go-Today, your crew in Italy needs to be commended, please share my high regard of them. I will be traveling the world with Go-Today. That guy who had me write the name Go-Today on my hand while we shared a beer in Santorini (Greece) was right, it is a heck of a deal and certainly something that I will be telling my friends about.Caio!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was disappointed in what I expected to be a guided tour of the Best of Italy. What I got was left at the Vatican, to find my own way back, left in Florence to fend for myself and left in Venice at the docks of the grand canal. The guide was knowledgeable about the history and the sights but we felt that this was his first real show with 40 some people to guide. Bring your guide books on this tour and be sure and scope out the restaurant scene on the internet before you go.

Transportation was not waiting at airport in Rome due to our delayed (all day) in Paris. Thought we would not have to wait in line at Vatican since we were with a tour group. Got left at church in Assissi by tour guide. Why would you book your day in Florence to be Monday when all the museaums are closed. Hotel manager in Venice was the rudest man I have ever met. Got locked out of hotel. The boxed lunch for departure day was all expired food.

We enjoyed this trip very much. Good guides, all travel and transfers as promised. Generally satisfactory hotels. Overall a great value for the money. Traveling in the off season is great: no crowds, no exhausting summer heat, lots of sunshine, great value.
