Having flown into London from Dublin, taking the tube from Heathrow to The Holiday Inn Kensington Forum was a breeze (for those who pack more then they can carry or drag, a cab might be a better choice. While there are escalators, there are plain old stairs as well:). Great location. Clean rooms. Pleasant staff. Surprising variety of choices for the complimentary breakfast (cereals, fruits, breads, cheeses etc.). And a decent fitness room. Traveled with 3 friends and all of us had a pleasant stay. We skipped the bus tour, as we were familiar with London. Easy tube ride to the Eurostar. The Eurostar ride was lovely. great views of the countryside. In Paris, the Mercure Ronceray-Paris Opera Hotel is also located near a metro, so a pretty easy commute from station to hotel. The metro is wonderful. A great way to get around Paris. At the Mercure the staff were helpful, and the rooms on the small side, but clean. The complimentary breakfast included the typical fare with eggs, sausage and yogurt too. Great location; safe and not too touristy. The Paris bus tours were fantastic- plenty of room on board, a variety of neighborhoods and a short wait when hopping on and off to switch routes. The drivers were very helpful. Go-Today provides you with a map that shows where your hotel is in relation to everything. It's quite useful. Also, go-today gave each of us a complimentary phone card. These came in handy and I recommend adding money to the card before you leave, to save time and money.
