Car rental is based on a strict 24 hour consecutive periods. The lead person named on the reservation must be the main driver, present at time of rental and payer of any additional charges with a minimum age of 25 years of age. A credit card in the main driver's name is required for pickup of the vehicle as a car return guarantee. Acceptable credit cards are: H.C.C., American Express, Diners Club, Japanese Credit Bureau, Mastercard/Eurocard, Visa. An authorization is obtained on your credit card based on the estimated rental charges; there must be sufficient credit on your card to cover all charges. Additional drivers fee is EUR 4.65 per day for each additional driver payable locally at time of car pickup. All drivers must present a valid USA driver's license held for a minimum of one year at the time of rental. Collision Damage Waiver and theft protection are included but additional insurance, such as Personal Accident Insurance, is available at time of car pickup and is paid locally. Government tax (VAT) at the rate of 20% is included. A Vehicle Licensee Fee (VLF) apply to all rentals and a Location Service Charge will apply to all rentals with pick-up in airport/railway station or some downtown locations and are payable upon pick-up. Rentals will be charged an administration fee in case of traffic fines. Rates do not include fuel. All Hertz vehicles are rented with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with full tank of fuel or a local refuelling charge will apply. Child seats are mandatory in Italy for children up to 4 years and can be requested from all locations. Luggage racks and mobile phones are currently not offered. Additional charges for one way rentals are based on location restrictions and the vehicle type being rented. Hertz vehicles can only be driven into E.U. countries: Austria, France, Ireland, Spain, Germany, Luxembourg, Sweden, Denmark, Greece, Netherlands, Finland, Italy, United Kingdom and Portugal as well as Norway and Switzerland.

Passport Requirements:
It is the sole responsibility of each passenger to obtain the necessary documents for travel, not excluding passports and visas. A valid passport is normally the only requirement for U.S. citizens. Visa requirements do change without notice and vary by nationality. Please check with the consulate office of the destination country as to visa requirements.
Restrictions:
Prices are per person based on double occupancy and a 21-day advance purchase. Purchases within 21 days will incur additional fees. Air carrier used in the package is based on gateway and availability at time of booking and multiple flights connections may be necessary. Flight departure times may be at any time on your requested departure day. Surcharges up to $50 per person each way may apply for travel Thursday through Monday depending on travel dates. Air taxes/Government-imposed fees/surcharges are excluded. These fees are in addition to the package prices and will be added to invoice. Travel is valid for these dates only. Certain other restrictions may apply, and offer is subject to change without notice. No request will be processed until full payment is received. Once submitted your request can take at least 24 hours to confirm. 2nd and 3rd choices for travel dates are highly recommended.
