We have used go-today.com for other trips and were very pleased. We didn't love this trip, however.
The flights from DC didn't get us to Budapest until 2:30 pm which meant the first day was essentially a non-starter. Given the 3 hour train ride between Budapest and Vienna and the 4.5 hour train ride between Vienna and Prague, you essentially have 1 day in each city which is really not enough time to sightsee and have a vacation. We felt very rushed.
The hotel in Budapest (Zara) was nice and within walking (lengthy walk but still walking) distance of the major sites. We LOVED the hotel in Vienna (K&K Palais) and would stay there again in a heartbeat. Fantastic hotel, fantastic location (10 minute walk to major sites), gorgeous room - great hotel!
The hotel in Prague, however, was a complete disappointment. The Carlton Hotel Prague should not be a 4 star hotel. It is 3 stars at best. Our AC was broken on the first night so we were unable to sleep as it was ~84F in our room. There is no restaurant, you have to pay for the downstairs Internet which has no printer meaning no boarding passes, the hotel is very short-staffed, and feels very bare bones when it comes to service and offerings.
The worst part of the Prague stay was the fact that the hotel is VERY far from the town center. You have to take a tram to the metro to walk to the sites. I couldn't believe how far it was from downtown. As my husband said, the location of the hotel really ruined the Prague portion of the trip.

This was a wonderful tour, we enjoyed all three cities very much, and the train rides between cities was a great way to travel, we would especially recommend the K & K Palais Hotel in Vienna and the cityrama tours in Vienna and Prague, you may want to try another company in Budpest.

Fantastic experience. Our trip was in December right before the holidays. The weather is great at that time of the year. Just read the forcasts and be prepared by wearing the right clothing. Very few tourists from USA/Canada, but pleasantly crowded with visitors from other European countries (and Brits) and with people living just outside of the major cities (just as "locals" go to N.Y. or S.F. to shop at holiday time.) We used mid range hotels and every hotel was convenient for both public transportation and for walking. Being independent travelers we used a Rick Steves guide and followed his "if you only have 3 days" advice and also did the 1000 Places You Should See Before You Die" book. With just enough time to taste each place and still keep within our budget we now know where we would want to return. We left each city wanting to stay a bit longer, and can look forward to coming back. We did extend our trip by 1 day to give us more time in our first city and so glad we did so since we live on the west coast and with time changes and limited winter daylight hours in Eastern Europe, we really needed that extra day. We may do the same again on our next trip or stay over in New York to break up the travel hours. Be prepared for crowded planes since most airlines code share and "combine" passengers from less full flights. We had some "interesting" events/things happen while on our trip and we are so thankful we had booked with Go Today! they are fantastic and helpful...this is our 2nd successful and exciting and wonderful trip using them and it will not be the last!. Enjoy, but please don't share our secret about traveling on the "shoulder" season!!!

This was a great vacation - it was the perfect amount of time to sample each of the cities! We chose superior/standard hotels in each of the cities and they were fantastic. They were extremely nice and were located close to the tourist spots. The only issue we had on the trip was with our train tickets - while the tickets were usable, they only worked for trains that required switching trains or traveling very late at night.

Wonderful way to sample each of these fantastic cities. Chose mid-grade hotels - excellent. Only recommendation is to realize that May 1 is a national holiday in Vienna and be prepared for many things to be closed, including most restuarants. Vienna Opera was open and a great choice for evening entertainment. April/May perfect weather in Central Europe.

I did the Vienna and Prague trip only, but still stayed at two of the hotels offered in this package, the Ibis Praha Smichov and the Harmonie Hotel. Both were quite nice hotels in a fairly central location, just a short metro or tram ride from the main attractions. Both had very good included breakfasts, we made sure to fill out stomachs before setting out into the city. The cities themselves were very nice, with Prague being the more spectacular of the two, with the Prague Castle, Old Town and the Vltava River being main points of interest. The food was excellent and both cities were relatively cheap.
