This was our first booking with an online agency and we were concerned with how smooth things would go. Nancy M. was our contact at gotoday.com. She was very helpful and was reachable by phone and gave us a lot of information. Our flights to and from Italy went very smooth. All of our hotels were easy to check into using the hotel vouchers. The trains from Rome to Florence and from Florence to Venice were easy to board using the train vouchers, we did not need to validate them as previously told to do so, and we are able to just board with no problems.
We ran into one little problem in Venice. It was a rainy day and our room started leaking from the roof. Told there were no other rooms to move to we checked into a hotel right across the way and stayed the one night there. After trying to reach Nancy M by phone and the connection not going thru we emailed her right away and told her of the situation. She was very quick to respond and had already notified their headquarters in Spain. We were able to go back to our original hotel the next morning and checked into a new room and about a week later we were refunded from gotoday.com for the one night we stayed at a different hotel. Very impressive!
We are very impressed with how things went so smoothly and all the help that Nancy gave us. We are planning to book our next years vacation to Scotland thru gotoday.com.

We were very happy with this vacation package. Go-today made it easy with flight, hotel, and trains in one package. We really didn't have to think about much besides what to pack and what we wanted to see while we were in Italy. The standard rooms were good and nice to come back to after a day of exploring. We will definitely look at other Go-Today vacation packages in the future. We would recommend this package!

This is perhaps our 20th Go-today package in the past almost-ten years and we have never been disappointed. Each of these cities is magical, with so much to see. We consider ourselves, not tourists, but explorers. And there is so much to explore in Italy!!The tourist-class hotels were just fine and the trainride provided so much more to see, rather than just airports. We're already planning our next Gotoday trip!!!

Go-today made this vacation so easy and the hotels were great. There was some confusion on the train, but once we realized it was assigned seating we were good to go. In Rome we stayed at the Della Muse Hotel. It was great and they were the nicest people out of all three hotels. They went out of their way to accommodate our needs, even after we slept in and missed the free breakfast they opened it us. They had great customer service and almost everyone spoke English. It is not in the middle of it all, but close to the bus and trolley, which was nice. Free internet and they gave us a map and told us how to get around. In Florence we stayed at Delle Nazioni, it was right across the train station. This was my least favorite hotel of the three. The people were not that nice, although they did help us plan a wine tour. It was very loud you could hear people talking and walking in the halls. I think we got a handi-cap room because the shower doors went all the way around but did not keep the water in and it flooded the entire bathroom. Which was very slippery on the tile. The rooms was the biggest of the three hotels, but then again if it was a handi-cap room that would make since. It was a good location and easy to find. Free internet, but the free breakfast was awful campare to the other two hotels. In Venice we stayed at Arlecchino hotel. This was our favorite hotel. The room was be beautiful and loook out at the water. The breakfast room was so nice and they had the nicest two ladies working in there to get you coffe or hot chocolate. It was right next to the buses which was great if you have to leave early for the airport and was not a far walk from the train station. Although the little steps made it a challenge, with my heavy suite case. I suggest you buy the three day pass for the water taxi. It is a lot, but was worth it in the end, especially if you go to other island. I suggest Murano were the blown glass is, this hotel will arrange a water taxi for 5 euros and then from there go to the island were lace is made (I can't remember the name) this was the best place of all. Great for shopping and the houses are bright colors, we got some great photos. This was a great vacation and go-today made it easy with the slips for each hotel and train tickets already purchased. I loved it and will use them on my next vacation.

Booking this vacation through Go-Today was amazingly easy and efficient. My daughter and I travelled together and met my son who was already in Europe. They worked with us to modify the trip to meet our time constraints and facilitate meeting my son . We travelled in late October. The weather was perfect in Rome and Florence and we just needed a light jacket in Venice. Crowds were not a problem. We started in Venice and stayed at the charming Arlecchino Hotel which we found immediately after emerging from the airport bus. Very nice not to have to negotiate too many steps and bridges with our luggage. The staff was very cordial. The breakfast room had a lovely view of canals and the individual pots of coffee were wonderful. It was a pleasant walk to the Rialto Bridge area, but we also made good use of our Vaporetto passes which also allowed us to visit the island of Murano with its myriad of blown glass shops. In Florence, we stayed at the De La Pace Hotel, again conveniently located within walking distance of the Duomo , museums, restaurants, and shopping. We had a lovely room with a great shower. The staff was very helpful in assisting with side trips, taxis, and museum reservations. We took a day trip with TheBestofTuscanyTours which included Siena, lunch at a wine estate in Chianti country, San Gimignano, and a visit to Pisa. We met some fun people and were able to see quite a bit in a short time. We splurged in Rome and stayed at the Accademia Hotel, a block from the Trevi Fountain. The staff was helpful and courteaous. Breakfast was fabulous. The room was comfortable and lovely and among the amenities included a pair of slippers for each of us. A special feature was access to a small upper level patio where we felt like we were really in Rome doing what Romans do.
Air and train connections went smoothly. We would all love to return since there was much more to see and do and experience. We would definitely use Go- Today again.

Absolutely wonderful! We stayed in Venice at the Arlecchino Hotel - my favorite! Corner room on the 3rd floor with shuttered windows opening on to the canal - lovely. And the coffee at breakfast to die for! And a restaurant, Ribo, within 2 blocks of the hotel was recommended by the concierge, wonderful food, wine and ambiance! Took the Eurostar train to Florence and stayed in the Delle Nazioni Hotel, a block from the station and within a 10minute walk to the Duomo and city center. Our favorite restaurants: Trattoria Marione and Trattoria al Trebbio. Took the bus to Piazzale Michelangelo - bought round trip ticket at the train station...but walked everywhere else. In Rome we stayed at the Della Muse somewhat outside of the city but Bus 360 was direct to Termini Station (about a 15 minute ride) from where we could take the Metro. We bought Roma passes in the train station which give unlimited use of buses and metro for 3 days and reduced prices for the 110 bus (like a hop on hop off) - great way to get a feel for the city...our last night we had dinner at Restaurant Target close to Termini station (we took the Metro to Piazzale Republica) to save some walking. From the hotel we were picked up for transport to the Airport...our only hitch, our travelling companions had lost their voucher - I called Go-Today in Europe from the airport and they called the transportation company to verify that the couple had reserved transportation, so it was necessary only to fill out a form. Since we arrived at the airport 2 1/2 hours early, athe 30minute delay was not a problem - thank goodness for the cell phone and thank goodness for Go-Today's quick and very helpful response.
This is our second trip with Go-Today (the first was a week in London)....Once again we were very impressed with the hotels and transportation went off without a hitch - when I looked at the price/night for our hotels and the cost of airfare to Venice and from Rome I figured we saved more than half of what it would have cost to book the trip independently!
I will wholeheartedly recommend go.today to everyone!

This was my best friend and my first time using go-today and we were very happy. We chose all the cheapest hotels because we were traveling on a budget and though they were definitely no frills (no clocks, sparse breakfasts in 2 our of the 3 hotels), they were clean and comfortable. All our arrangements were spot on and we had no trouble getting anywhere, checking in or out, and our car was right where it was supposed to be to take us from the airport to our hotel in Rome. We even checked in very early (8:00am) at the Taormina Hotel and the desk clerk was friendly, spoke Enlgish, and gave us a room right away. He even carried my very large suitcase up the stairs to our room for me (lesson learned: pack light and use a small suitcase, this will definitely cause less stress going up stairs and on the trains...trust me). The neighborhood didn't look like the greatest but it was totally fine and in walking distance to the train station and the Colosseum, and pretty much anything else in Rome if you don't mind longer than average walks. We stayed at the Palazzuolo Hotel in Florence which was a five minute walk to the Duomo and everything else in Florence. Again there were stairs (the front desk is one flight up). We were put in the room across from the front desk and right above the street which was extremely noisy all night long. But it was clean and good for our purposes of just sleeping and showering. The breakfast consists of prepackaged croissants and donuts which weren't that great, but the hot chocolate was. We met a lovely mother and daughter from South Africa during breakfast here and we bonded over the "budget-ness" of the hotel, so it was worth it. We stayed at the San Guiliano Hotel outside of Venice and were worried that it would be horrible (based on the distance from Venice and the reviews it got on Tripadvisor) but we were pleasantly surprised that this was perhaps the best hotel of the 3. The hotel clerk who checked us in was a little short and slightly rude when we asked for directions to the bus, (it's about a 15 minute busride to Venice, but not nearly as inconvenient as it sounds, the bus stop is right around the corner, comes every 10 minutes and drops you off right in Venice) but the other two clerks were polite, helpful, and one of them was even joyous. There was an elevator which was great since our bags had gotten heavier from all the shopping, and the breakfast was outstanding. They have a waitor ask what type of hot beverage you'd like, and a buffet of various meats, cheeses, fruits, and real croissants and pastries, along with juice and water. The room itself was small, sort of like a dormroom, but very clean and it even had a minibar. The clerk called us a cab to the airport and it arrived within 5 minutes. We had a lovely time. If I had the money I would splurge for slightly better hotels, but for those traveling on a budget. We didn't spend much time in the rooms anyway. I'd definitely book with Gotoday again, it was hassle free and wonderful.

We had a wonderful time on our recent Italian Adventure vacation. This was our first time using gotoday.com and we will definitely use them again for future vacation travel. The hotels were all excellent (Concordia in Venice, Hotel Minerva in Florence and Hotel Savoy in Rome) with great locations. It was a hassle free, relaxing trip. I would highly recommend gotoday.com for vacation planning.

I had a wonderful vacation. Going in March the crowds were not bad, and the weather was good. Rome was beautiful and the San Remo Hotel staff was very friendly. No water pressure for the showers and ran out of hot water all three days we were there. Florence was my favorite, the Delle Nazioni Hotel staff were the most helpful, and the room was spacious. The first thing i did was take a hot shower. In Venice the hotel staff at Pantalon hotel was not very friendly and no elevators, so we had to haul our luggage up a flight of stairs. The room was very small. We had the breakfast police watching us, so if we got a cup of coffee and took it to our room we would have to argue we didn't have breakfast when we actually went down to eat. I enjoyed Venice in the big picture. I would definitely recommend this trip, maybe bump up the hotel package. The flights were on time and riding the rail between cities was very relaxing. I have some advise, do not take lots of luggage, you keep up with your own on the trains and the isles are not very wide. I will take only one piece of luggage on my next trip. Go-today.com was great, I will plan another trip using this website.

This is the first time I dealt with go-today.com and I'm very satisfied and impress with the service received. When I booked the vacation, the three hotels advertised was not available and I was told that I needed to pay extra for alternate accomodation. After some searching, I was able to get alternate hotels without paying extra. Only one of the hotel is not as convenient as I would have liked but it worked out. The hotel I liked best is "Albergo Porta Faenza" in Florence. Vrey nice and spacious room with a large balcony and a large washroom. Service was excellent.
I will definitely book my future trips with Go-Today.com.

This is the 2nd time I've booked travel with go-today.com and I would recommend them to anyone. I generally upgrade to 4-star hotels (Europe's hotel standards are a bit lower than ours) but I've always been pleased with the location and service. I would suggest doing a bit of independent research before choosing your category to eliminate any surprises. All the extras (transfers, tours, etc.) have been on time and with reputable vendors. We extended the 9-day Italian Adventure to 12 days and had a great time. If you travel off-season the prices can't be beat!

Incredible trip! All hotels were excellent, with helpful English speaking staff in each. The Taromina Hotel in Rome was a block away from a streetcar and bus stop, and a Metro stop, which we used all three extensively, using the Roma Pass. The oldest and largest ice cream parlor in Rome and a grocery store is just two blocks east of the Hotel. A must see sight, that is not mentioned in a lot of guidebooks, is the Santa Croce in Gerusaleme Church, just down the street from the Taormina. Our best spiritual experience in all of Rome! Favorite street in Rome is the Via Margutta (where Fellini used to live). The Albergo Montreal Hotel in Florence was also conveniently located near the Terminal, which had a handy small grocery store next to it. Everything within easy walking distance from the Hotel. The Arlecchino Hotel in Venice was another wonderful Hotel, conveniently located near the Terminal and Bus Station vaporetto stops. We got the 72 hour Vaporetto Pass and used the Vaperettos extensively for joy riding and convenient short cuts. Must see things in Venice are the Lagoon Island Tour, and the view from the top of the San Giorgio Maggire tower. Would stay in each place again. Will have to go back to Rome. 3 days there is not enough.

Very good value for the money. We traveled in later winter, avoided the crowds, heat, and summer expense. Upgraded hotel in Venice was a good idea -- good location and helpful staff (this was true of all hotels we stayed at). Venice, being on the sea, can be brisk (40s for highs while we were there), so dress in layers. No glitches with any of the travel arrangements.

We had a wonderful time on this trip and would recommend it to others. Our family of 4 just returned and found everything with go-today to be in order and easy to deal with. The only change we would make is in not paying to upgrade our train to 1st class from Florence to Venice; the seats were identical to those of our first leg in regular class.
We were pleasantly surprised by all the hotels and found their staffs to be very accommodating. Also, don't hesitant to book this trip in winter; there are no crowds (big plus) and many sites, which normally charge for admission, were free.

The hotel that I was booked into in Florence (Hotel Palazzuolo) was horrible. It was a 1 star hotel when the other two hotels were 3 star hotels (Hotel Canal and Fiorini Hotel). The staff was not very friendly and they did not speak much English. The shower in the hotel was in the bathroom with no shower curtain or separate area- the shower head just poured the water into the bathroom making everything (toilet, bide, sink, door) wet.
