Day 1: United States - San Jose
Arrive by air into San Jose. Upon arrival a representative from our ground operator will meet you at the gate and will provide you with a welcome kit on Costa Rica.
Transfer to the hotel of choice for your first night in Costa Rica.
Evening free to relax and enjoy San Jose`s active nightlife.

Day 2: San Jose - Tortuguero
Breakfast at the hotel
After breakfast, early morning departure for Tortuguero. Enjoy a scenic drive through the Braulio Carillo National Park and then a three-hour boat trip to the canals of Tortuguero.
Upon arrival to the lodge enjoy a welcome cocktail and lunch.
The lodge will then schedule a visit to the Turtle Museum
and town of Tortuguero.
Afternoon free to relax in the pool or take advantage of the hiking trails.
In the evening, after a delicious meal, you will relax along the canal's edge with a cocktail and enjoy the night sounds of the jungle.

Day 3: Tortuguero
Breakfast at the hotel
During the day enjoy scheduled boat tours to the small canals for wildlife observation. A jungle adventure of a lifetime! Think Amazon, only on a smaller scale. Tortuguero National Park, with its 21,000 hectares of preserved tropical rain forest, provides one of the best opportunities to
experience a wide range of tropical wildlife.

Day 4: Tortuguero - Arenal
Breakfast at the hotel
Enjoy a scenic boat ride back to the Caño Blanco Port.
Take a shuttle transfer to the Arenal area.
The flawless silhouette of Arenal Volcano, it's loud rumblings and frequent explosions of lava and ash are a sight not to be missed by any visitor to Costa Rica.
Afternoon arrival to the Arenal hotel of choice.
Enjoy an invigorating spa treatment or just relax at the natural spring pool.

Day 5: Arenal - Monteverde

Afternoon pickup at the hotel for the scenic drive to Monteverde. The Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve is one of the most diverse and richest tropical cloud forests in the New World and home to the resplendent Quetzal and the rare
bell bird. Monteverde is not only interesting for the Cloud Forest Reserve’s inhabitants, but also for its founders, the Quakers.After check in feel free to explore your new surroundings.

Day 6: Monteverde
All meals are on your own.
In the morning you will hike through the well marked trails of the Monteverde Cloudforest Reserve.
Enjoy an afternoon adventure at the Sky Trek. This is a system of three platforms suspended above the ground in the midst of tree boughs. Ziplines attached from one platform to another will allow you to slide with the use of special equipment. If this is not a suitable tour for you, please let us know in advance and we can book an alternate Monteverde excursion.

Day 7: Monteverde - San Jose
All meals are on your own.
Return to San Jose
The rest of the afternoon and evening at leisure to explore San Jose active nightlife.

Please note: This package is not available during Christmas, New Year's and Easter.
Some departures and some gates of origin may involve overnight flights into Costa Rica. In these cases, your itinerary will be adjusted accordingly.
Space is limited and your desired travel dates may not be available if you wait, so book early to avoid disappointment. We highly recommend 2nd and 3rd choices for travel dates and/or accommodations.
Passport Requirements:
It is the sole responsibility of each passenger to obtain the necessary documents for travel, not excluding passports and visas. A valid passport is normally the only requirement for U.S. citizens. Visa requirements do change without notice and vary by nationality. Please check with the consulate office of the destination country as to visa requirements.
Central America Departure Tax:
Upon departure in local currency or USD (cash only) the amount of $20 - 45 in some countries is required (amounts may vary daily based on currency fluctuations). Aircraft boarding will be denied to any passenger who fails to pay this tax which is collected after check-in and prior to boarding by Federal Airport staff. Passport numbers are required for confirmation.
Full payment due within 1 day of booking by 2pm.

This package is not available the weeks of Easter, Christmas and New Year.
Prices are per person based on double occupancy and a 21-day advance purchase. Purchases within 21 days will incur additional fees. Air carrier used in the package is based on gateway and availability at time of booking and multiple flights connections may be necessary. Flight departure times may be at any time on your requested departure day. Surcharges up to $50 per person each way may apply for travel Thursday through Monday depending on travel dates. Air taxes/Government-imposed fees/surcharges are excluded. These fees are in addition to the package prices and will be added to invoice. Travel is valid for these dates only. Certain other restrictions may apply, and offer is subject to change without notice. No request will be processed until full payment is received. Once submitted your request can take at least 24 hours to confirm. 2nd and 3rd choices for travel dates are highly recommended.
